Artists Statement:

"I feel a deep need for release of creativity. I have been blessed with a God given talent that needs to be used to it's fullest extent and not wasted.

I do not use my art to speak to the public.

My approach is not to tell a story or make a statement; rather to use my art as a spontaneous outlet.

I like to let it flow from the subconscious and let the viewer decide what it means personally.

It is intriguing to me to see what impact my sculpture has on others. My art fills a need to provide a sense of order in my own chaotic life, as the universe creates order out of chaos."

About the Sculptor - Dan Pogue:

For over forty five years Dan Pogue has been an award-winning sculptor. He studied under international sculptor Keating Donohoe in Oklahoma City for two years. He has had his own art bronze foundry since 1970. He sculpts in clay and casts his work in bronze in the foundry, seven miles east of Marble Falls, Texas. They appear with great movement and expression. His designs continue to intrigue and delight the viewers.

Pogue has expert knowledge in all aspects of designing, molding, casting and creating the right patina for each bronze. Many of his life size and monumental sculptures have been placed internationally at churches, libraries, universities, memorial parks, and other public and private locations. His work includes commissions of religious and other figures, and portraits of well-known people for memorials. Other works of art include figurative, portraits, impressionism and some wildlife, that he has cast in limited editions.

He also has a gallery where his sculpture is displayed. Dan gives tours of the gallery and foundry for all who are interested in the casting process.
