Just like the carriage clocks in the days of Napoleon this is a small, easy to carry silver alarm clock.
Often these type of clocks are called Officer Clocks, due to a situation where one of Napoleon's Generals was late to a meeting....which almost cost Napoleon a battle.
He was pretty upset, so from that moment on he required his Generals to carry little clocks with them and to set them on the table at meetings.
Small travel clocks like this became referred to as officer clocks.
This one has a Metal case and a bright silver plate finish. The dial is Pearlized and the back door is Hinged. Beep alarm with a second hand.
